+971 55 372 1525There are big energy events, and then there is ADIPEC. The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference has been running since 1984 and has grown into what is broadly considered the most influential energy event on the planet. The 2026 edition runs across four days at ADNEC and is expected to welcome upwards of 150,000 attendees from around the world, with 2,250 plus exhibitors spread across more than 155,000 square metres of exhibition space, figures that are genuinely difficult to wrap your head around until you are actually on the floor.
The scope of what ADIPEC covers has evolved significantly over the years. While oil and gas remain central, the event now sits firmly at the intersection of energy transition, decarbonisation, AI, and sustainable infrastructure. It is where the entire energy value chain converges, from national and international oil companies and independent energy companies to technology providers, service firms, financiers, policymakers, and researchers. With 54 NOCs, IOCs, and independent energy companies and 30 country pavilions expected on the floor, the level of international representation is essentially unmatched in the sector.
The conference programme is equally formidable, running across 12 dedicated tracks with over 380 sessions covering applied engineering research, operational insights, energy policy, low-carbon technology, digital transformation, and the practical realities of the global energy transition. The technical conferences specifically draw the global engineering community together in a way that few other events manage to replicate.
Beyond the main programme, Young ADIPEC brings students and early-career professionals into the conversation, with dedicated educational zones, innovation sessions, and a University Connect initiative that links UAE students with senior industry figures. It is one of the more genuine attempts at pipeline building you will find at an event of this size.
