Organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East GmbH and now heading into its 19th edition, Light + Intelligent Building Middle East has built a well-earned reputation as MENA's definitive event for lighting design, technology, and smart building solutions. Since its launch in 2006, it has grown into a genuinely comprehensive platform that serves a wide range of industries and disciplines, from architects and lighting designers to electrical engineers, building managers, and property developers.

The 2026 edition welcomed over 16,000 trade visitors from 95 countries and brought together 340 exhibitors from 30 countries across four halls spanning more than 17,000 square metres. The 2027 edition is expected to push those numbers further, with 450 plus international exhibitors across six product sectors covering decorative, architectural, and technical lighting, electrical engineering, home automation, and building control systems. Leading names like Signify, Honeywell, LEDVANCE, Schneider Electric, and KNX have all been part of the show, which tells you the calibre of brands investing in their presence here.

The event is co-located with Intersec at the Dubai World Trade Centre, which creates a genuinely useful crossover between the lighting, building technology, and security sectors. It means visitors can move between two highly relevant shows in the same venue during the same three days, which is a practical advantage that regular attendees tend to plan around.

The knowledge programme is another strong draw. Three anchor conferences, including the THINKLIGHT Conference, the Smart Building Summit, and InSpotLight, run alongside the exhibition, with certified hands-on workshops adding a skills-development layer for those looking to sharpen their technical expertise while they are on-site.
