Key Highlights:
Expanded Gallery Programme: Art Dubai 2026 introduces an expanded gallery programme, featuring both contemporary and modern art sections. The Zamaniyyat section, curated by Sarah A. Rifky, will spotlight 20th-century artists from the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, highlighting their contributions to regional modernisms. The Bawwaba section, curated by Amal Khalaf, will present solo shows by emerging and mid-career artists, many of whom have created new works specifically for the fair. Additionally, the newly introduced Bawwaba Extended will transform the fair's public spaces into dynamic areas for experimental installations, sound, video, and performance art.
Art Dubai Digital: This section, led by Ulrich Schrauth and Nadine Khalil, will explore the intersection of art and technology, featuring artists and studios working with immersive media, digital tools, and emerging technologies.
Global Art Forum: As part of its extensive programming, Art Dubai will host the renowned Global Art Forum, bringing together a diverse range of experts, artists, and innovators to discuss pressing issues in the art world and beyond.
Collector Talks and Conversations with Artists: These sessions will provide insights into the art market, collecting pract
ices, and the creative processes of featured artists.
Public Engagement: Art Dubai 2026 will continue its commitment to public engagement through various initiatives, including the Children’s Programme, Campus Art Dubai, and Public Art Strategy, aiming to make art accessible to a broader audience.
